Garlic is one of the most essential & integral part of cooking especially in India, because of it's strong aroma and immense flavour that it offers.

Besides it's smell and flavour, it is also surprisingly beneficial from health point of view.

It's very important to note here that it's sulphur compounds are responsible for most of it's medicinal properties, are very unstable, hence most of it's benefits can only be reaped in fresh garlic just after it is crushed or cut.

* It must be consumed on the time when cut/ 
   crushed.
* It's pieces are not to be chewed, they must be
   swallowed, otherwise may induce foul smell 
   from mouth.
* Garlic pieces works best when eaten with an 
   stomach in the morning.
* " Too much of anything is bad ", do not 
   consume more than 2-3 cloves a day without 
   consulting your doctor.
* Asthma patients should avoid garlic because 
   it may show some side-effects.
